BackLite Media is honoured to be selected to feature the new Louis Vuitton campaign in a collaboration with artist Jeff Koons. The new designs remixes the iconic artworks of the Old Masters and presents them in a way that encourages new interpretations.
Jeff Koons is one of the most widely recognised figures working in contemporary art. An American, he studied painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Famous works include a 40-inch stainless steel sculpture Rabbit (1986) and Michael Jackson and Bubbles (1988), which renders the pop star and his pet chimpanzee as a large porcelain ornament decorated with gold leaf.
Jeff has bought imagery from his acclaimed ‘Gazing Ball’ series of large-scale reproductions of Old Masters such as Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa to a range of Louis Vuitton products, which was featured on our location UAE42, opposite the Dar Al Ber Society on Sheikh Zayed Road.
